The Lions lost the toss and were put into bat by their opponent’s.
Aidan Malley and Tom Benthall opened the batting. They got off to a great start but it was Benthall dismissed first on 12 with a brilliant direct hit.

There were other great batting performances for Will Mairs who got 35 and Joe Goddard who got 37.
Huddersfield came into bat looking strong but they couldn’t cope with Lions strong bowling force with Danny Horry opening the attack. He took his first wicket in the fourth over and from there it picked up. Other wickets from Animesh Chatterjee (two), Craig Edwards (four) and James Massheder (three) sealed a 128 run win for the Lions and bowling Huddersfield out for 106 with 15 overs remaining.
Their next game will be a trip further North to face Sunderland.
