Following his recent win points win over Hasashi Amagasa, ‘Leeds Warrior’ Josh Warrington is now looking towards a summer showdown with IBF world Featherweight champion Lee Selby.
Over the last few months the pair have been going at each other and it is clear that there is no love lost when it comes to these two.
Speaking to Radio Yorkshire, Warrington says: “Mine and a certain Welsh man’s name keeps getting mentioned. Fighting at Elland Road. A lot of things to get on with behind the scenes. Once that gets sorted we go from there.”
Lee Selby is the current IBF Featherweight champion and recently defended his title against Eric Hunter and has had this to say about Warrington: “Before the fight, I said I don’t think he’s world class and after the fight, I still say he isn’t world class.”
It’s safe to say that both fighters think they are they better fighter. With their currently being some sort of talks being held, there is a lot of speculation about where the fight will take place. Selby has made it clear that he would come to Leeds to fight Warrington as he tweeted:
To all my Leeds fans, I’ve received no offer to box Josh Warrington in Leeds. If I do & it adds up I’ll be up to show you REAL World Class!!

Warrington then sarcastically replied with:

If this fight was to happen it certainly wouldn’t be one you would want to miss!
