BEVERLEY RACING PREVIEW

By Charles Jones
The only course running in Yorkshire today is Beverley.

In the first at Beverley my tip is Lawless Louis. Even though Racing Post Rating isn’t always reliable the fact that the two favourites here have the same rating and Lawless Louis is carrying a significantly lower weight is telling. Perfect Symphony is another contender, however the wide draw will give it a disadvantage.

My NAP for the day is Weloof at 13/8, who runs in the 14:45. Improving on both his runs so far in his career and being sold for a six figure sum twice. The potential is there for Weloof. Carrying the second lowest weight in the field this should be able to win well.

In the 16:25 Pacharana looks good value. Winning four of its last five races and carrying five pounds less than favourite Gaelic Tiger. Pacharanas by no means a certain winner as MasterPaver in the same race has a very good chance and with Richard Fahey riding I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes something happen today.

In terms of Lay betting, Emilia James going off at 11/10 in the 14:10 novice race takes my fancy.
