BARNES RETURNS TO COUGARS TO AID PROMOTION BID

Talented centre, Hamish Barnes has re-joined the Keighley Cougars, having left to join Dewsbury Rams in September 2016.

The Jamaican international was one of four who left the Cougars to join the Rams along with Jode Sheriffe, Aaron Ollett and former assistant manager Adam Mitchell.

Barnes, 21, was released by the Rams after only seven starts, scoring one try in the 6-20 home defeat to the London Broncos.

Barnes has left the Rams, with the club placed precariously in 11th place, with only one league win all season.

In his first spell with the club, Barnes scored 20 tries in 28 games. Cougars have announced that he will wear the number 34 shirt for the remainder of the season.
